What if I am unable to get an item due to stock shortages?
Unfortunately with the ongoing COVID situation effecting supply, there are increasing stock shortages. Please see the following information on what is expected in relation to uniforms.
Can I exchange an item if it is the wrong size?
Of course we are happy to exchange items due to size issues. We understand that you are ordering online and may not select the correct one. They will however need to be in NEW condition, with labels attached.
Items can not be worn for a day and then swapped over. Also items need to be returned within 14 days of purchase. See below question "How do I exchange/return an item?"
Clothing Alterations?
As our products are made in bulk, we can not guarantee that they will fit everyone 'off the shelf".
You may find that some adjustments or alterations are needed.
If you are not able to do these yourself, then please find a family member or friend who can.
We also are aware of the following local seamstress services:

What are the current uniform requirements?
Please refer to the uniform page on our website. https://www.ncs.nsw.edu.au/uniforms
Can I return an unopened (unused) item if I no longer require it?
Yes, we ask that you return items within 14 days of purchase. See below question "How do I exchange/return an item?"
What happens when there is a fault with the product?
We ask that you return items within 14 days of purchase.
Please send us information about the fault, so that we can pass this onto the Sales Representative. Any claims relating to faulty products need to be approved, before we can exchange the item. Photos are helpful to be able to send to the Company for approval of replacing the item.
How do I exchange/return an item?
Firstly, please complete this Return an Item form. Then you, or your child, can bring the uniform item to the front office. Where there is a replacement required, these will be sent home with your eldest student on the next available afternoon, except Friday.
If you require a full refund, the amount will be refunded to your credit card once the item has been returned.
When will my order be delivered?
As our uniform shop is currently closed to visitors. only online orders will be taken. These will be on the next trading day Mon to Thurs. Orders will be sent home with your eldest student. Front office staff will arrange for these to be sent out to classrooms.
How will my order be delivered?
Orders will be sent home with your eldest student on the afternoon that it is picked. Front office staff will arrange for these to be sent out to classrooms
What does the $1 shipping charge cover?
This will cover the additional transaction costs of using an online payment service. Similar to the surcharge for using credit cards in many businesses, like hotels, airlines and many retail outlets. We are unable to apportion it on a percentage basis, therefore it is a flat fee regardless of the size of your order.
Can I order an item that is sold out?
The online shop would not be able to sell any items with no stock. Please use the 'contact us' to advise the uniform shop of the item you wish to order. They will be able to advise on stock status.
Can I buy second-hand items online?
Due to COVID-19 restrictions, we have not been able to allow parents/carers onsite to view secondhand uniform items. To get around this issue, we have now placed all our secondhand stock online. This limited secondhand stock can now be ordered online under the Miscellaneous menu on the NCS Uniform Online Store (see below).
Secondhand donations
We are always willing to accept donations of current uniform items. However, they must be in good condition (ie. no pulls, no stains, no undone hems, severe fading etc) and must be washed prior to donating. Thank you.
When is the uniform store open?
Previously this was Wednesday 8:15am to 2:30pm, within school terms. This will be under review once it is deemed safe to operate again under the Covid19 regulations.
What if I need the uniform urgently?
Our Uniform Manager is working afternoons Monday to Thursday, within school terms. Seriously urgent requests can be considered on a case by case basis. Please phone the front office 02 4422 1199 to discuss if this will be manageable, or if outside office hours send an email to the uniform shop at uniforms@ncs.nsw.edu.au
You will need to place your order online, which includes payment.
No orders are filled without payment.
Fitting notes
Primary Dress
When finding that this dress is a bit tight in the torso, it would be possible to gain some more centimetres by removing the darts.
There are 4 within this garment. 2 in the front, 2 in the back.
Likewise, if the dress feels too baggy, you can increase the darts to allow for better fitting.
The length of all primary dresses and secondary skirts must be long enough to touch the knee.
Shorts Tailored Boys
Please note when fitting this style.
If you are finding the length and waist size is correct, but the tigher in other areas, this means that you should move to the Men's sizing.
Example: 12Y is same waist measurment as the 2M. The difference is in the rise of the pants.
Rather than going to a 14Y and have the waist too big, move into the Men's size of this product.
2M is equivalent to a 16Y
Shorts Boys Tailored (Mens sizes 2M to 9M)
Please note when fitting this style.
If you are finding the length and waist size is correct, but loose in other areas, this means that you should move to the Youth sizing.
Example: 2M is same waist measurment as the 12Y. The difference is in the rise of the pants.
Rather than going to a smaller size and have the waist too tight, move into the Youth's size of this product.
2M is equivalent to a 16Y
Secondary and Senior skirts
This product is made to a standard 'to knee length'. This does not guarantee that it will sit at the knee on every student.
When fitting for the skirt, we would like to recommend that you consider the length of the skirt.
The NCS uniform policy states - The length of all primary dresses and secondary skirts must be long enough to touch the knee.
Please refer to the uniform page on our website. https://www.ncs.nsw.edu.au/uniforms
This means that if the length is correct and waist is too loose, then you should alter at the waist.
If you prefer not to adjust at the waist, then ensure that there is enough hemline to be able to drop this to the required length.
